Issue: Dear Sirs,
I have an old Optoma HD600X that is now no longer powering on fully.
I have previously (3+ years ago) replaced the DMD chip when there were lots of white dots.
Recently though, when watching a WC game, the projector turned off by itself (power down cycle). Removing the lamp and holding the case clip I can see that the colour wheel is not turning. I have tried cleaning the sensors with a cotton bud carefully but the wheel will not spin.
I often travel between the address above and Cambridge and so passing through Hitchin is easy for me. I would be able to drop off (possibly tomorrow?) and collect at the Hitchin site fairly easily.
I would like to know how much the diagnosis would cost and also the potential repair costs before undertaking the full repair.

Issue: I was watching as normal, then I heard a clunk and got a discoloured picture, so I turned it off...when I tried to turn it back on I could hear the fan turning but there was no picture appearing and there was a clicking sound inside the projector as if it was trying to do something...I’ve since replaced the bulb and there has been no improvement.

Issue: Projector had a replacement lamp and then approx. 200hrs use but has now developed a green defocussed area in the middle of the image. Research suggests the lamp may have been faulty and has heat damaged / distorted the polarizer.
I am a private owner and would like to know if this is sensibly economically repairable as otherwise can replace the projector with a similar unit for ~ £400.
