Lamp Fitting Guide

Many projectors require the user to reset the lamp hour counter in order for the new lamp to become active. Below are some brief recommendations on how to do this for most major projector brands. Please note these are guidelines only, for complete installation instructions please consult your projector’s manual.
3M
Turn on the projector.
Press the “RESET” button on the remote control for approximately 3 seconds until a dialog box is displayed.
Select the “RESET” using the up button.
Your lamp counter will now be reset.
ASK
There are two common methods to reset the lamp counter on these projectors:
Method 1:
Press the decrease volume button on the remote and then the increase volume button within 3 seconds.
The LED light on the projector will turn green.
Turn on the projector.
Method 2:
Turn on the Projector.
Open the standard menu using the remote.
Then select “Setup” or “Service” depending on your projector model.
Then select “Reset Lamp Timer”
BenQ
Turn on the projector
While the projector running, press the MENU button.
Select “OPTION” on the menu using the 5/6 buttons, then press the ENTER button.
Select the “LAMP TIME” using the 5/ 6 buttons, then press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds.
Select “RESET” using the 5 button.
Boxlight
Turn on the projector.
Press the “MENU” button and the on-screen menu will appear.
Press 3/4 button to remove the red frame pointer to the Setting Menu Icon .
Press the 6 button to move the red frame pointer to the Lamp Counter Reset item and then press SELECT button.
The message “Reset Lamp Counter?” appears. Move the pointer to “<YES>” and then press SELECT button.
Another confirmation dialog box appears and select “<YES>” to reset the Lamp Replace Counter.
Canon
Turn on the projector.
Press the “MENU” button and the on-screen menu will appear.
Press 3/4 button to remove the red frame pointer to the Setting Menu Icon .
Press the 6 button to move the red frame pointer to the Lamp Counter Reset item and then press SELECT button.
The message “Reset Lamp Counter?” appears. Move the pointer to “<YES>” and then press SELECT button.
Another confirmation dialog box appears and select “<YES>” to reset the Lamp Replace Counter.
Christie
Turn on the projector.
Press the “MENU” button and the on-screen menu will appear.
Press 3/4 button to remove the red frame pointer to the Setting Menu Icon .
Press the 6 button to move the red frame pointer to the Lamp Counter Reset item and then press SELECT button.
The message “Reset Lamp Counter?” appears. Move the pointer to “<YES>” and then press SELECT button.

Dell
Press “MENU” on the remote or control panel to open the on screen display menu.
Use the 3/4 keys and the section called “Lamp Setting”
Use the 5/6 keys to select “Lamp Reset”
Select “YES”
Dukane
Turn on the projector.
Press the “RESET” button on the remote control for approximately 3 seconds until a dialog box is displayed.
Select the “RESET” using the up button.
Your lamp counter will now be reset.
Eiki
Turn on the projector.
Press the “MENU” button and the on-screen menu will appear.
Press 3/4 button to remove the red frame pointer to the Setting Menu Icon .
Press the 6 button to move the red frame pointer to the Lamp Counter Reset item and then press SELECT button.
The message “Reset Lamp Counter?” appears. Move the pointer to “<YES>” and then press SELECT button.

Elmo
Turn on the projector.
Press the “RESET” button on the remote control for approximately 3 seconds until a dialog box is displayed.
Select the “RESET” using the up button.
Your lamp counter will now be reset.
Hitachi
Turn on the projector.
Press the “RESET” button on the remote control for approximately 3 seconds until a dialog box is displayed.
Select the “RESET” using the up button.
Your lamp counter will now be reset.
HP
Press “MENU” on the remote or control panel to open the on screen display menu.
Use the 3/4 keys and the section called “Lamp Setting”
Use the 5/6 keys to select “Lamp Reset”
Select “YES”
Infocus
There are two common methods to reset the lamp counter on these projectors:
Lamp Fitting Method 1:

Turn on the projector.
Press the “RESET” button on the remote control for approximately 3 seconds until a dialog box is displayed.
Select the “RESET” using the up button.
Your lamp counter will now be reset.
NEC
Press the “OFF” or “HELP” button on the remote control for a minimum of 10 seconds while in standby mode.
When the lamp clock is reset to zero the status indicator light will go out.
Optoma
Press “MENU” on the remote or control panel to open the on screen display menu.
Use the 3/4 keys and the section called “Lamp Setting”
Use the 5/6 keys to select “Lamp Reset”
Select “YES”
Panasonic
Press the “POWER” button until an image is projected onto the screen.
Press the “MENU” button to display the main on screen menu and then press the F/G buttons to select “OPTION”.
Press the “ENTER” button to display the “OPTION” menu, and then press the 5/6 buttons to select “LAMP RUNTIME”.
Press and hold the “ENTER” button for approximately 3 seconds.
The “LAMP RUNTIME” will change to “TIME RESET [POWER OFF]”.
The projector will then be powered down.
Proxima
There are two common methods to reset the lamp counter on these projectors:

While holding down “ON/STANDBY”, “MENU” and “INPUT” simultaneously, plug the power cord into the mains outlet
