Common Samsung Faults & Fixes
Samsung has redefined home cinema with Laser TV. However, the Ultra Short Throw (UST) design creates unique maintenance challenges. The steep angle of projection means even microscopic dust on the internal mirrors causes massive shadows on the screen.
The Freestyle: This portable unit is prone to physical damage from drops. We frequently repair the Micro-HDMI ports and the internal Auto-Keystone gyro sensors which can become misaligned, causing the image to remain trapezoidal even on flat surfaces.
Legacy DLP (SP-A Series): Older Samsung cinema projectors like the A600 and A8000 use traditional lamps and colour wheels. The most common faults here are colour wheel bearing failure (whining noise) and DMD chip failure (white/black dots).
