The 90-Day Engineering Guarantee

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Every repair is backed by a comprehensive warranty covering both the specific parts we replaced and the labour involved. If the fault returns, we fix it for free.

1. Warranty on Repair Services

When you trust Wells Electronics Ltd with your projector, you receive a professional engineering service compliant with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Coverage Scope

All paid repair work is covered by a 90-day warranty commencing from the date the item is delivered back to you. This warranty specifically covers:

  • The spare parts fitted during the repair.
  • The engineering labour required to fit those parts.
  • The specific fault described in the repair report.

2. The "Recollect & Repair" Promise

If the same fault reoccurs within the 90-day warranty period, we will honour our commitment to a lasting fix.

We will:

  • Arrange a courier collection from your UK premises at our expense.
  • Prioritize your unit on the repair bench for immediate re-inspection.
  • Rectify the issue free of charge (parts and labour).
  • Return the unit to you via tracked courier at no cost.

Note: Refunds for the original repair fee are only considered if we are unable to rectify the fault after reasonable attempts, in accordance with your statutory rights.

3. Warranty on Goods (Lamps & Spares)

For items purchased directly from us (such as replacement lamps, filters, or remote controls), standard product warranties apply.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

Most projector lamps sold include a 90-day manufacturer’s guarantee against defects. If a lamp fails prematurely (e.g., blows or dims significantly) within this period, it will be replaced.

Statutory Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. You have a right to reject faulty goods within 30 days for a full refund.

4. Returns Policy (Unwanted Goods)

If you have purchased an item (not a service) online, you are protected by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • 14-Day Cooling-Off Period: You may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods for any reason.
  • Return Window: You must return the goods to us within 14 days of notifying us of the cancellation.
  • Refunds: We will refund the cost of the goods. Outbound shipping costs are refunded at the basic rate. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

5. Warranty Exclusions

Our repair warranty is comprehensive, but it does not cover new issues unrelated to the original work. The warranty is void if:

  • The unit has been opened, tampered with, or repaired by a third party.
  • The fault is caused by misuse, accidental damage (drops/impact), or liquid ingress.
  • The failure is due to external factors such as power surges or lightning strikes.
  • Consumable parts (like lamps or filters) fail due to normal wear and tear, unless that specific part was replaced by us.

6. How to Make a Claim

If you experience an issue with a repair or product, please contact us immediately to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. Do not send items without an RMA.
