Common Xiaomi Faults & Fixes
Xiaomi projectors blend high-end laser technology with smart Android capabilities. This integration means faults can be either optical or digital. A black screen could be a laser driver failure OR a crashed operating system.
Boot Loops & "Brick" Repair: Failed firmware updates often "brick" Xiaomi projectors, leaving them stuck on the boot logo. We use specialist JTAG interfaces to re-flash the mainboard chip directly, recovering units that standard resets cannot fix.
DMD Chip "White Dots": The popular **Mi Smart Compact (Mijia Youth)** series uses a small DLP chip. Due to the tiny form factor, heat dissipation is a challenge. Over time, the micro-mirrors seize, creating white or black dots. We replace the DMD and apply high-performance thermal paste to improve longevity.

| Focus Drifts / Blurry | Auto-Focus Motor | The auto-focus camera or motor mechanism has failed or is dirty. The projector constantly hunts for focus or settles on a blurry image. |
| No Image (Light On) | DMD / Laser Driver | The laser is firing (you can see light), but there is no picture. This indicates the DMD formatter board is not sending image data to the chip. |
